Vulcan is being very tolerant of Annabel – some greyhounds don’t like having their personal space invaded, yet Vulcan is reasonably happy to share a sofa with Annabel. Of course, foster dogs aren’t allowed on furniture (and Vulcan is only allowed on certain furniture), they are also quite happy sharing a rug, provided it is big enough.

It has taken Vulcan a couple of years to get this relaxed, when we first got him, he’d snuggle up beside you but really freak out if you reached over him or made an unexpected move – but he’s very good now.

This is Annabel (Homebush Annabel) – she joined us on Monday. She’s a great little dog with a few issues but is learning how to live in a house very quickly – she has Vulcan to help her, and they are very good together.

She’s smart, playful and energetic but easily distracted and not really listening or paying attention.

A very handsome little dog.

Patch is very entertaining, she is constantly picking things up and moving them around – always moves shoes and socks, but very seldom damages anything. Yesterday after they’d eaten breakfast, Patch was carrying Vulcan’s bowl around the kitchen.

This is Patch (Opawa Patch) – Danielle calls her Princess Patch πŸ™‚

She is our GAP Christmas foster dog. GAP try to get the all the dogs out of the kennels over Christmas.

Patch is great – very easy. She was very stressed for the first few hours in the house, but is settling in well. Vulcan is a big help, he is very relaxed with her and she follows him around.

Chino is great with children – he’s very sociable and very responsive to attention. People (and children) love that he is quite fluffy – for a greyhound.

This is Chino having a cuddle at the GAP run a couple of weeks ago.

Last night (in the middle of the night) Vulcan and Chino would stampede into the kitchen about every 5 minutes, this continued for quite a while. Eventually Vulcan got bored and stayed on his sofa, but Chino staked out the kitchen and eventually caught this mouse. He’s very persistent.

And smarter than a mouse, apparently.
