This is Chino (Mr Chino) who is staying with us for a while. We picked him up on Friday, and he fits right in. He has a few issues but nothing major (so far – behaviour often changes as these dogs settle in and get more confident).

He has a superb race record, earned more than all of the other dogs we’ve fostered put together, and won the Silver Collar in 2012 – he’s a distance runner and has only recently retired, unusual as he’s about 5 years old.

He’s in good shape and looks stunning – very tall and has great poise; very friendly and very interactive.

Doesn’t seem particularly smart – very easily distracted, but Vulcan is pleased to have another dog who can open the back door for him.

Vulcan has a cousin Lizzie, they play together, but Lizzie is definitely the boss. Even though she can only touch noses with Vulcan by standing on tiptoe on her back legs.

Lizzie will let Vulcan chase her around the yard, but she decides when she’s had enough. And she certainly didn’t want to be left behind when Vulcan left for the next stage of his holiday.

Damon left for his new home on Saturday, and he certainly looked like he will be happy there.

This is Toby (Noble Tobin) who is staying with us for a short while. What a fabulous dog he is – just about perfect. He’s been very well trained and behaves perfectly. Very relaxed and confident, and friendly and interactive with people. Can sit, down and stay. Somebody has invested considerable time in him, and he’ll make an awesome pet for somebody, I hope they appreciate just what they are getting.
