Vulcan at Oropi, back in June. He loves visiting, there’s lots happening and always Lizzie to play with. Here he is either watching some horses or chickens in the next paddock, or possibly something further away that we can’t even see.

This was Damon’s first GAP run since he’s been with us – he enjoyed himself immensely, was perfectly behaved, very social with both dogs and people, and always wanted to be at the head of the pack. This is very different behaviour from when he is at home with Vulcan.

This is Damon (Talk Back). He joined us on Monday evening; he’s settled in as if he’s always lived here. He’s outgoing and friendly; great with other dogs, quite smart and exuberant. Maybe a little stressed – has bad dandruff. Apart from that, he has a lovely shiny coat and is a very handsome dog and has clearly been well looked after.

His ears go so far forward when he’s relaxed, that they almost meet, but every time I point a camera at him, his ears go back 😦

He was probably even worse at racing than Vulcan – 6 starts, no wins, no places…in fact he finished 7th or 8th in his races.

Finn left for his new home this morning – jumped straight into the car and immediately curled up (mostly) on the back seat. Seemed very relaxed and happy.

It is very sad to see him go – of all the foster dogs we’ve had, he has been by far the easiest and he fitted straight in to pet life, within a day or so he behaved as if he’d always lived here.

And as a bonus, he could sit (here’s proof) 🙂
